Join us, as the Business Unit Director for our Diagnostics division supporting Australia and New Zealand. You will report directly to the General Manager ANZ and have responsibility for leading the division with full P&L accountability and responsibility for budgeting and monitoring financial performance. You will develop a strategic vision for the business and lead the implementation of sales, marketing and product management initiatives that drive the performance of the Diagnostics business.

In this role, you will:
 

  • Develop near and long-term strategic plans for the business that consider both organic growth and partnership/acquisition-driven growth
  • Provide oversight and management of multiple initiatives. Ensure that work is completed efficiently in identifying issues, adjusting priorities, establishing team member routines, tracking progress and leveraging resources
  • Manage key relationships with large corporate and government accounts
  • Implement near and long-term action plans for the business that will result in business performance improvement
  • Understand and analyse financial data (e.g., balance sheet, P&L, volume trends, return on investment, plan vs. actuals, volume and rate variance) and the relationships between the various data points
  • Prepare annual budget, budget controls, and budget variances for the efficient management of the business
  • Build and manage a customer base to maximize sales performance. Be responsible for top line and bottom-line results
  • Lead team members to achieve top and bottom-line business objectives and drive profitable growth

     

You are a proven senior leader with demonstrated success managing a business with full P&L accountability and developing and implementing strategic sales and marketing initiatives for your business. You will have solid upward career progression on the commercial side of past businesses and a broad base of leadership experience working within a global medical device organisation, ideally with a diagnostics background. A Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field is required. In this role you have the opportunity to make a significant positive impact on the patients we serve and the teams you will lead.
