Global Product Manager, Genius AI and ThinPrep
Think this role is for you?
Hologic’s Digital Diagnostics team is pushing the boundaries of how AI supports laboratory professionals and pathologists in detecting disease earlier and more accurately. We’re looking for a Product Manager who can guide the strategy behind AI algorithms on the Genius Digital Diagnostics System while overseeing the lifecycle of our ThinPrep consumable portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, clinical insight, and commercial execution—working with teams across R&D, software, marketing, and sales to bring smarter diagnostic solutions to laboratories around the world.
Key Outcomes:
- Define and execute the product roadmap for AI algorithms and software features within the Genius Digital Diagnostics System.
- Lead cross-functional and global teams to deliver product initiatives from concept through launch and ongoing optimization.
- Manage the lifecycle of the ThinPrep consumable portfolio, including demand planning, product positioning, and lifecycle strategy.
- Translate customer insights and market data into actionable product improvements and commercial strategies.
- Develop business cases and commercial programs that support the adoption and growth of AI-powered diagnostic solutions.
- Track product performance through KPIs, adoption metrics, and competitive intelligence to guide strategic decisions.
- Serve as the internal voice of the customer, working closely with laboratory professionals and pathologists to inform product direction.
Do you have what it takes?
Success in this role comes down to strong product instincts and the ability to connect technical innovation with real customer needs. You’re comfortable leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders across functions without formal authority. You bring curiosity to complex clinical workflows, ask thoughtful questions, and translate insights into practical product decisions. Strong communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. Most importantly, you approach product management with a customer-first mindset and a focus on delivering measurable impact.
Additional qualifications and information:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, computer science, engineering, life sciences, or a related field.
- 5+ years of product management experience or equivalent impact in a product-focused role.
- At least 3 years of working in healthcare SaaS, medical diagnostics, laboratory technology, or a related field.
- Experience with digital pathology platforms, medical imaging products, image management software (IMS), or AI-driven healthcare technologies is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with clinical diagnostic workflows, laboratory environments, and anatomic pathology (cytology experience is a plus).
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including R&D, software engineering, regulatory, marketing, and sales.
- Strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives at once.
- Location: Marlborough, MA or San Diego, CA (hybrid schedule).
- Travel: Up to 25% for customer visits, internal meetings, and industry events.
The annualized base salary range for this role is $106,500 to $166,600 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
