We are looking for a talented Senior Project Manager - Research Scientist to join our team in Liege, Belgium. In this role you will lead the designing and coordinating of epigenomics research projects in close collaboration with Subject Matter Experts and Program Managers of our Key Client.
You will contribute to the quality standards and scientific knowledge of the services team by leading the qualification of instruments/validation of analytical methods and updating relevant analytical protocol and/or method documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project planning: design and estimate costs (in collaboration with the sales team) in accordance with the service project objectives and timelines. Plan and anticipate upcoming difficulties in plan execution, prepare strategies
- Coordinate the execution of the project (follow up on sample shipments, collaborate with research associate and other involved colleagues) including reporting.
- Analyze and interpret data, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results. Prepare detailed reports and present findings to customers.
- Provide technical/scientific support to internal and external partners. Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment
- Report and investigate together with the involved team members incidents such as non conformities, complaints and suggest corrective/preventative actions
- Develop and validate new analytical methods to support service activities
- Develop/update protocols, procedures and other relevant documents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, research and development and bioinformatics
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Educational background in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts
- Working experience in an industrial, biomedical research setting
- Knowledge of the laboratory environment including health and safety and quality processes (knowledge of ISO 17025, ISO 15189 and/or CLIA accredited laboratory is a plus)
- Experience with analytical method validation, instrument qualification, quality and process improvement methodologies and tools
- Advanced knowledge of scientific principles and concepts
- Experience in Next-Generation Sequencing technologies and/or DNA methylation studies will be advantageous
- Great attention to detail, organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Fluency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of French would be advantageous
